VH1 You Oughta Know alum Scars on 45 are making their way to the East End for a concert at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) on Friday, February 6th at 8 p.m. The British indie rock quintet is performing as part of the “Breakout Artist Series” in partnership with WEHM.
The intimate acoustic set will feature songs from their sophomore full-length album, “Safety in Numbers,” as well as from their debut self-titled album. Scars on 45 garnered a U.S. following after their song “Beauty’s Running Wild” was featured on “CSI: New York.” Since then, their music has been showcased on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
“We want to tour as much as we can,” frontman Danny Bemrose told Billboard. “All we want to do is continue to work hard, continue to meet such good people that we’ve met along the way. It’s what we’ve wanted for such a long time.”
Former football-mates, singer/songwriter Danny Bemrose and bassist Stuart Nichols, started the band in Bradford, England around 2007. Scars on 45 eventually expanded with the addition of vocalist Aimee Driver, keyboardist David Nowakowski, and drummer Chris Durling.
Tickets to Scars on 45 are $25.
