Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS) is paying tribute to the very merry 150th unbirthday of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” during their latest production.
“Our Fabulous Variety Show takes on their biggest and largest production to date,” noted Kasia Klimiuk, OFVS Producing Artistic Director and CFO. “Follow Alice down the Rabbit Hole during her journey through a world that has been zapped colorless and rigid by the White Queen and see if she can bring back the beauty and color of Wonderland’s past.”
“Our Adventures in Wonderland” is an original spin on the beloved childhood favorite, featuring more than 40 cast members who hail from Merrick to Montauk. The high energy scenes will take attendees on Alice’s voyage through the previously striking and vibrant Wonderland world, as it is sucked into a dreary chasm controlled by the cruel White Queen. Join Alice and all of your favorite characters like the Mad Hatter, March Hare, and White Rabbit during this one-of-a-kind interpretation of the Lewis Carroll classic.
“This production is for both children and adults with a truly unique, original story and showstopping song and dance numbers,” shared Klimiuk.
The production will be held at Guild Hall. Performances will take place on Friday, September 18th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, September 19th at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Friday, September 25th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, September 26th at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, September 27th at 2 p.m. A Wonderland After-Hours cabaret performance featuring Danny Ximo of DEOX|RAFFA will take place on Saturday, September 26th at 9:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $55.
Proceeds from the shows will support the OFVS Performing Arts Scholarship Fund and HUGS, Inc., a drug and alcohol prevention program and service organization for East End youth.
