The well-known dance and musical skills of Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS) will fascinate Hamptons audiences during the group’s 22nd production entitled Cirque du Fabuleux. The performance will be a circus inspired variety show including improv and sketch comedy. Prepare to be wowed at the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall, with performances taking place on Friday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 2 at 2 p.m.
The show is directed by Anita Boyer and Kasia Klimiuk and was inspired by Boyer and Klimiuk’s love for Cirque du Soleil productions. Aerial artist Laura Haley from NYC, drag queen diva Danny Ximo of the RaffaShow, and Samantha Slithers will all make appearances during the performances. The routines range from the opening number from Pippin to original improvised scenes, created by Boyer, Klimiuk, and their cast of over 30 local professional performers and pre-professional students. There will be an incredible amount of talent on stage.
“I am most looking forward to this show because it has combined Kasia and my love of Cirque du Solei with our passion for producing original theatre,” remarked Director Anita Boyer. “We have incredible acts joining us and our troupe has created some hilarious scenes, breathtaking dances, and inspiring moments.”
Our Fabulous Variety Show’s annual holiday season show will benefit the OFVS Performing Arts Scholarship. This year’s recipient, a local high school senior, will be honored during the Sunday, December 2 matinee. The scholarship is open to students from local East End high schools.
OFVS is comprised of a very dedicated troupe that are all collectively on a mission to hone the craft of live performance. It features professional performers while simultaneously raising funds and awareness for both local and national non-profit organizations.
