If your summer reading goals have been lacking lately, getting your hands on riveting reads just got a lot easier – because many Hamptons and East End-based libraries are now offering curbside pickup.

Montauk Library (871 Montauk Highway, Montauk, montauklibrary.org) is offering curbside pickup for books, DVDs and other items. To reserve an item/items, patrons must request the material at montauklibrary.org/curbside. Once ready, the library will contact the patron to schedule a pickup time at the Curbside Pickup station in front of the library. Items should be returned to the library’s outdoor bookdrop and until the library is totally re-opened, there will be no fines on overdue items.

The East Hampton Library’s (159 Main Street, East Hampton, easthamptonlibrary.org) curbside pickup commenced on Tuesday, June 15. The new service will be offered Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrons can request library materials by calling 631-324-0222 or by visiting easthamptonlibrary.org/curbside. When the material is ready for pickup, patrons are asked to park on Main Street in front of the Library and call 631-324-0222 to let library staff know they have arrived. Staff will put the requested items on a table outside the library’s front door. Additionally, returns can now be made to book drops located in the front and rear of the building. There will be no fines for overdue items that could not be returned because of the library’s closing in March.

John Jermain Memorial Library (201 Main Street, Sag Harbor, www.johnjermain.org) has introduced a “Plaza Pick-up.” Patrons can reserve books, CDs and DVDs through the library’s online catalog, by calling 631-725-0049 x0, or by emailing [email protected]. When the item/items are ready, the library will reach out. Pickup will take place at the library’s lower level garden entrance Tuesday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Once patrons arrive, they should contact the library at 631-725-0049 x0 and then staff will bring the material to the “Plaza Pick-up.” Returns may be placed in the outdoor book drop.

Hampton Library (2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton, www.myhamptonlibrary.org) is offering Curbside Service from Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can call in or email requests, and once available, the library will schedule a pickup date and time.

Rogers Memorial Library (91 Coopers Farm Road, Southampton, www.myrml.org) launched its curbside pickup on Monday, June 15. Patrons can place holds on items they would like to borrow via the library’s website or by using the library’s mobile app. Then, the library will pull the item/items from the shelf and contact the patron to schedule a pickup time. There will be designated parking spots for curbside pickup. Upon arriving at the library, patrons should call the library circulation desk at 631-283-0774 ext. 516 to provide a description of their vehicle. A library staff member will bring out the item/items to the patron’s car. For walkups, staff will meet patrons at a table near the entrance. Masks are mandatory.

Hampton Bays Library (52 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, hamptonbayslibrary.org) also launched curbside pickup on Monday, June 15. Materials can be returned only during designated curbside service hours. Phone reference will also be available.

Quogue Library (90 Quogue Street, Quogue, www.quoguelibrary.org) is open for curbside pickup. Patrons can place holds from the library’s online catalog. When arriving at the library, patrons must stay in their vehicle and call 631-653-4224, text 631-252-4882 or email [email protected] to let staff know you have arrived. Masks are mandatory.

Westhampton Free Library (7 Library Avenue, Westhampton Beach, westhamptonlibrary.net) is offering curbside pickup, by appointment only, starting Monday, June 15. Pickup will be available from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Riverhead Free Library’s (330 Court Street, Riverhead, www.riverheadlibrary.org) Curbside Pickup also begun on Monday, June 15.
