Join the Westhampton Rotary Club for Rotary ROCKS!, a concert of hit music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today, performed by the popular East End bands En Fuego and Bingo Bango. The event will be held on Sunday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center and includes a cash bar and raffle prizes.
Bingo Bango is a top local cover band known for its mix of lush harmonies and tight arrangements. En Fuego is Westhampton Beach High School’s own homegrown band and winners of the Southampton Town Youth Bureau’s 2021 ‘Battle of the Bands’.
Originally formed as part of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center’s Rock Band 101 program, En Fuego features Dan Stark (drums), Luke Hefter (guitar), Jack Oats (guitar), Nellie Nicolova (keys/vocals) and Hunter Montgomery (bass/vocals). The band’s name comes from the Spanish translation of a classic Van Halen song, “On Fire.” They regularly perform at venues across the East End and have been featured on WABC-TV’s “Eyewitness News.”
“When you bring together talented musicians playing fun, energetic music in a great venue – all for a good cause – it’s guaranteed to be a great time,” said Aimee Fitzpatrick Martin, a Westhampton Rotary Club board member and an organizer of the event.
The Westhampton Rotary Club uses all the money it raises to give scholarships to graduating high school seniors and to support many local, national, and international organizations, including Camp-Pa-Qua-Tuck, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, Boy Scout Troop 62, East End Hospice, the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, the Westhampton Cultural Consortium, the Hope for Children Fund, the Salvation Army, and the Westhampton High School’s Robotics, Virtual Enterprise and Interact Clubs.
“Rotary needs your support at this event so we can continue all the good we do for the community,” said Peggy Jayne, president of the Westhampton Rotary Club. “Where else can kids of all ages get together for great music?”
Event sponsors include Ted and Kristin Jankowski of Westhampton True Value, Rubio Premier Motors, Kelly & Hulme PC, Aimee Fitzpatrick Martin of Saunders & Associates, Joe and Carol Nemeth, Rob Urban of Urban Wealth Management, Tom Otis of Otis Ford, and Jen Going Interiors.
