Adventure, strength, and inspiration form the conceptual and thematic core of four feature-length films and one animated short film from Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, and Canada that OLA of Eastern Long Island will screen during its annual Latino film festival, celebrating its 20th anniversary, September 14-17, 2023. All films are in Spanish with English subtitles.

21st Annual Surf Movie Night Fundraiser

Our 21st annual Surf Movie Night fundraiser will be on Friday, September 15 on the lawn at the Southampton Arts Center. Doors open at 5 pm with a free surf swap and live music by Souliztik! Short films begin at dusk. Tickets start at $25 for adults and $10 for kids. Proceeds support our work for clean water and healthy beaches.

The Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce is preparing for another fun-filled weekend of HarborFest. The post-Labor Day tradition, which attracts tourists and locals alike to the Sag Harbor waterfront, will return the weekend of September 16 and 17, running each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival was moved back this year from its more recent placement on the weekend immediately after Labor Day, a decision designed to give the business community a break before the busy HarborFest celebration.

Enjoy a free guided tour by Hiroyuki Hamada, the 2023 Parrish Art Museum Road Show Artist, of site-specific outdoor sculpture he created for this year’s Parrish Road Show. As you tour the exhibit with the artist, Hamada will talk about his process, the nature of the works on view, and the challenges he faced in creating outdoor, site-specific work. The exhibition, Matter Collides with Matter in a New Environment, will be on view through October 10, 2023.
