When it comes to dining out in the Hamptons, there is no shortage of restaurants to choose from. While there are not many vegan-exclusive establishments, there are still plenty of options for plant-based eating in the Hamptons, with more joining the culinary scene all the time.

  • Don’t call Nikita Upadhyay an influencer—her career extends far beyond the curated grid and she is an expert in the substance and the style in the world of beauty and wellness.

Importantly, Nikita is endorsed by Hamptons beauty icon – Bobbi Brown.

With over a million followers, Nikita Upadhyay is a visible presence online—but her real credibility lies behind the scenes. A classically trained Bharatnatyam dancer, she brings discipline and artistry to her work, qualities that helped her become the youngest-ever digital head of Cosmopolitan India, where she grew the magazine’s audience from nine to 80 million. She’s also the best-selling author of Roots to Radiance and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree.

Today, Nikita is the founder and CEO of the creative agency, UpRoot.

What sets her apart is the way she bridges worlds, drawing from her creative roots in India while navigating the global stage of media, fashion, and wellness. That duality—creativity grounded in strategy—shapes the way she approaches beauty, branding, and influence.

This is to say that Nikita knows beauty and marketing. So, let’s find out more about the latest beauty trend in the Hamptons (and the world): the Clean Beauty Aesthetic.

Is it simply marketing language, designed to soothe consumer guilt? Or is it a legitimate shift toward safer, more mindful choices in wellness and cosmetics? With her unique vantage point—both a marketer for major global brands and a voice for authenticity—Nikita is one of the rare people who can tell us what’s real, what’s aspirational, and what’s just clever packaging. She reminds us that much of what’s being rebranded as “new science” is actually inherited wisdom—helping us “realize that…grandmothers weren’t just superstitious, they were scientists.”

  • Artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd brought their National Scrollathon to LongHouse Reserve on October 25th. The East Hampton community participated in art-making workshops, allowing their creativity to flow and producing a variety of pieces that will be assembled into a single, permanent artwork.

The Scrollathon is a large-scale, inclusive, and ongoing project by the Ladd brothers, inspired by the ancient scroll as a form of communication. Using found and upcycled materials, participants engage with others as they create art objects that connect them both to their own experiences and to the wider world. Each participant makes one scroll to keep and one or more to contribute to the collective sculpture.

  • A few minutes past Amagansett Village, in that quiet pocket between the ocean and the bay, the new estate built by Bluefin, 137 Cross Highway to Devon, has intrigued me since the moment I saw it — a rare combination of proximity to the Village, craftsmanship, and design integrity in one of the most desirable areas on the East End.

Real-savvy Hamptons people know that Amagansett North is a quiet kind of magic—close enough to feel the Village’s heartbeat, far enough to hear the birds. If you think 137 Cross Highway to Devon is out of the way, then you don’t know Amagansett.

Four minutes to Amber Waves, under five to Balsam Farms and the Village, and less than ten to the ocean at Atlantic Avenue Beach.

Location, of course, is the headline anyway. The essentials—farm stands, ocean and bay beaches, golf and racquet clubs, coffee, restaurants, provisions—are so close they become afterthoughts: grab greens at Balsam, seafood at Stuarts, swing back for a baguette at Amber Waves, be home before the ice melts. It’s the rare setup where everyday errands feel like part of the vacation.
