The Hamptons Flea has quickly become a favorite event among locals and visitors. Now in its 3rd Summer season, the event is set to happen 10 times in Summer 2023, with new locations coming in Westhampton Beach and Sag Harbor Village.
It’s so charming to see the mix of people and stores and voices and laughter — not to go on and on, but open-air flea market events bring back some of my favorite memories with my mom, a first-ballot inductee in the Flea Market Hall of Fame. I couldn’t have been happier after an Amagansett afternoon spent browsing, just looking, picking, and “hey, look at this”-ing—and I wasn’t alone.
These are just a few of the many can’t-miss vendors at the Hampton Flea!
NOHEMM — Handmade Dresses
Erika is a powerhouse and magnetic personality that seamlessly translates into her handmade dress collection. With 40 years of experience sewing, this is the opposite of “fast fashion.” Erika is a self-described Winter Bird from her Gramercy Park nest, going where it’s warm. In her travels, she has connected with local partners and artisans in Togo, Senegal, and Ghana (“Aunties,” if you earn their respect) to source materials for her stunning handmade dresses. Nohemm is dedicated to supporting women worldwide with economic partnership and teaching.
Kyra Aleison — Local High School Student Handmade Tops
Who doesn’t love a local mother-daughter duo? The Aleisons are an inspiring story of local entrepreneurship and creativity. Working with widows in India, Kyra’s work has a broad and positive global reach. Entirely designed by local High School Senior Kyra Aleison’s hand-sewn vest-like tops are beautiful and perfect for your summer. Kyra and her mom were both at the booth rocking the tops, which have a cowgirl-meets-surf-girl style that is sure to take off in the Hamptons.
Krop Jeans — Tie-dyed Vintage Denim
This style speaks for itself with upcycled vintage denim hand-dyed in New York. These stand out for all the right reasons. Stylish, iconic with a bit of flair. Neutral blues match everything, and the tie-dye isn’t super busy. Trust me; you need one of the jackets in your life! You’ll have a chance to cop your own Kropp Jeans all Summer in the Hamptons.
Oiseau Bleu by Debra Michelle — One-of-a-Kind Jewelry
@Debra__Michelle || oiseaubleustudio.com
This new collection from Debra Michelle is inspired by the beach and perfectly paired with the Hamptons. Offering a pop of color from beautiful, one-of-a-kind stones, including Emeralds and black rhodium, set in sterling silver with expert skill and artistic care. These gorgeous and unique pieces will definitely elevate any of your styles in any season, especially this Summer!
Zingara Vintage — Handmade Vintage Terrycloth
This is the Summer of Terrycloth, so don’t imitate – get the original! Evocative of a more colorful fashion era, this groovy collection has a fantastic story. Zingara’s style has appeared in Vogue magazine! Founder and creative Erin Silvers creates luxury loungewear from vintage designer terry cloth towels. The towel symbolizes self-care that Zingara Vintage weaves into every piece. It must be seen (and felt) to be fully understood—my personal Fave: the Terrykini.
Carol Santini Studios
Carol has the confidence and energy most of us only dream of, but in her fantastic selection of vintage and beyond, she helps teach how to use style to build confidence. To Carol, nothing needs to be mass-produced when so much amazing fashion already exists in the world! Browsing her booth allowed me to reminisce and remember styles I would not have considered.
Allan’s Closet — Vintage European Designer
Had to include some vintage menswear, which Allan’s Closet has, and then some. The brands they include speak for themselves: Zegna, Brioni, Versace, Burberry, and more They’ve got designers so exclusive, so European that I haven’t even heard of them.
Sound Designs — Maritime-Themed Furniture & Decor
@Sound_Designs_NY || sounddesignsny.com
Inspired by the sound (love the pun!), Sound Designs is a furniture and decor maker that uses locally sourced wood in their designs. The playful, beachy motifs are the perfect way to share the Hamptons with loved ones or to make your rental home stand out—but honestly, I’ll bet you want one of their whale-shaped cutting boards for yourself!
Plenty more events like this are happening throughout the Hamptons all Summer—so be sure to check out Hamptons.com throughout the summer for more vintage spotlights! The full schedule is included below, and be sure to follow the Hamptons Vintage Fair on Instagram to stay up-to-date!
