Wags & Walks Hamptons returns for its 4th year with an ambitious goal to rescue 100 dogs through its Pup-Up adoption program. The summer programming will bring adoptable rescue dogs into the community through local events, foster opportunities, and partnerships across the Hamptons.
As a Southerner who was rescued and brought to the Hamptons, I can relate to Wags & Walks’ mission.
The summer programming brings adoptable rescue dogs directly into the community through local events, foster opportunities, and partnerships across the Hamptons. The Pup-Up officially launches on Thursday, July 9, at The Baker House in East Hampton, with tickets available now. All proceeds support Wags & Walks’ lifesaving rescue work.

We have written before that Hamptons people are dog people. We are at our best when our dogs are around — preferably sandy, slightly spoiled, and always invited. I rescued my own dog from a pop-up in the Hamptons, so I can say with full confidence that organizations like Wags & Walks are doing truly meaningful work.
Community members are encouraged to apply now so the team can plan upcoming transports and make sure every dog has a place to land. Local businesses and brands interested in supporting the program through events, partnerships, or activations can connect with the Wags & Walks team at [email protected]

Fostering with Wags & Walks is completely free, with supplies and veterinary care covered by the organization. Fosters simply provide a safe, loving temporary home while each dog waits for adoption.
In 2025 alone, Wags & Walks rescued and transported 65 dogs through the Hamptons Pup-Up program, underscoring both the need and the initiative’s momentum. This year, reaching 100 rescues will depend heavily on local foster homes. The number of dogs the team can bring north is directly tied to the number of available fosters.

“Community is the foundation of everything we do,” said Lesley Brog, Founder of Wags & Walks. “The Hamptons Pup-Up is a reflection of what’s possible when people come together, whether that’s fostering, adopting, supporting, or simply helping spread the word. Every role matters, and it’s that collective commitment to rescue that allows us to give more dogs the second chances they deserve.”
