The Seventh Annual FOCOS Awards Gala honored Dikembe Motombo, legendary NBA star, for his superlative work with the poor and dispossessed in West Africa. FOCOS Founder
and world-renowned spine surgeon Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, was also honored for his work, particularly, for returning to his Ghanian homeland where he brings the skills and expertise of his work in the US. Dr. Boachie-Adjei created FOCOS a non-profit organization founded in 1998 to provide comprehensive, affordable orthopedic care to adult and pediatric patients in underserved communities throughout West Africa.
