Calling all Art Lovers out there! You can’t miss the 14th Annual Artsti Open Studio Tour throughout Shelter Island, taking place on Saturday, August 17th, and Sunday, August 18th, from 12pm to 5pm. Shelter Island is a creative hub, home to talented artisans and creatives.
Proving again that there are exciting and refreshing alternatives to the traditional white wall gallery and systems, ARTSI will present twenty artists who will open their doors and share their artwork via an open studio tour.
Founded in 2010, ARTSI began as a breakaway group from the much larger and well-established Artists Alliance of East Hampton (AAEH), and that spirit remains amongst the group. As a novel and individual concept, it was an immediate hit with art goers. This year, the group proudly dedicates the weekend event in memoriam for members Janet Culbertson and Mike Zisser, who passed away in 2023.
Here is a sneak peek into the art featured on this tour:

“Painting portraits on Shelter Island is my favorite thing to do in my favorite place to be. I’m relatively new to ARTSI, so this is my first time participating in the Open Studios Tour. I’m excited and honored to be a part of this unique summer tradition.”
by Jana Sheinker
This year I am introducing digital paintings fabricated on archival paper into my repertoire. Using an iPad and stylus, it is an exciting merger of my graphic design background and fine art training.
by Roz Dimon
“We live in an increasingly hybrid world — the physical & the digital. I invite you to immerse into the multiple layers and stories within my digitally-created paintings, which can be commissioned to fabricate to any media and size”
by Laurie Dolphin
“I am honored to be a part of the community of artists in Shelter Island. Monoprints are my exploration of experimenting with chance and deliberation. I am dedicated to the visual-spatial constructs of interconnectivity augmented by the mystery of printmaking.”
by Kathryn Cunningham
“When we make art, we are never by ourselves”
