"The opening of beaches on a trial basis will be closely monitored. We ask for everyone's patience and cooperation so that we may all enjoy continued progress against COVID-19, and make the best of a summer that will be like no other," Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said.

"Frontline health care workers have been rightfully lauded as the heroes of the COVID-19 crisis response for tirelessly working to protect the lives and health of New Yorkers, while selflessly putting their own safety at risk in order to do so," Assemblyman Thiele stated.

It's the same East End towns, hamlets and beaches. What's different are the safety protocols in place to protect all of us from the coronavirus and what we are now seeing is even the strictest of rules will not stop the Hamptons summer season of 2020.

"People are struggling with not being able to see their loved ones, or be by their side as they are dying," Jean Behrens, LCSW-R, EEH Adult Bereavement Coordinator, explained. "Whether they are nearby or out of state, people are prohibited from visiting and saying goodbye. This is unprecedented and traumatic."

"This gesture, from the men and women of your New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing, is intended to salute everyone working hard in this fight against COVID-19," the 106th Rescue Wing said about the tribute.

The distinct different calls, chirps and yes, songs of all the various birds is truly a most pleasant, soothing sound with a wonderful vibe.

"Prior to COVID-19 the Montauk Food Pantry serviced approximately 100 families," Alice Houseknecht explained. "Since the Pandemic we are serving close to 300 families. We have tripled the number of recipients and we have doubled our distribution dates."

"The local availability of COVID-19 diagnostic testing will help us to stop the spread of the virus within our community and move us closer to a safe reopening of our economy," East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said.

"We wanted to come up with something outside all of the virtual stuff the kids are doing where they could still do social distancing and still have fun, and give towards a good cause," Bonnie Michelle Cannon relayed.

"I didn't think that bstrong would be involved in corona, because we're more about disaster relief. This quickly became a disaster," Frankel told CBS News.
