"I'm extremely grateful to be part of the solution to this disease that has tragically impacted so many," said Dr. Schiff. "This vaccine allows me to continue safely caring for my patients, while better protecting my family, friends and community."

"We decided for the holidays, in addition to giving prepared food to the food pantries, we would start doing holiday meals for single mom families, because we knew we couldn't feed the whole East End, so we decided to have a focus," Barrila noted.

"As everyone knows, most of the restaurants in town are really hurting. The membership loved the idea," Schuhmann told us.

To this day, I can still remember the sound of that theater with almost every one singing as one.

"I was working at the East Hampton Recycling Center and someone threw away a tree. I stuffed it in my truck for the day, just as a joke. Everyone kind of liked it, so I drove off with it," Steckowski told us.

"We are really fortunate to be in this area and have such generous residents. Collections are well ahead of last year," Dennis Fabiszak told Hamptons.com.

"We are seeing more and more kids and families struggling due to COVID-19, so I am trying to generate some interest in the local community to try to give a little bit this holiday season," Mitchell told us.

I dedicate this column to those who get up early on days off to drive to churches and other locations to give their personal time to help others. Who care enough to get involved, be involved, stay involved.
