"The annual Oyster Tasting is a fundraiser for the Shelter Island Historical Society which celebrates a time in history when oysters were a thriving industry on the East End," Alice Clark reflected.
"Local restaurant chefs and home chefs will present their best chowders!" Jen Edwards.
"Our 7th Annual Westhampton Beach OysterFest features great seafood from Hamptons restaurants, local craft brews and wine, live bands, and clam chowder and oyster shucking contests, along with pirate shows, sword-fighting lessons and Jester Jim for the kids," shared Greg Menegio.
Many of these fresh hop-infused beers are special limited-edition versions that will not be available to the general public.
Fashion360mag.com said the Manhattan outpost is a venue worthy of "the selfies you take will leave you looking like the person Marie Antoinette would want to be."
"The Chili Chowder Contest is an annual tradition in Hampton Bays that we all look forward to," Lars Clemensen noted.
"The competition for the Garlic Eating Contest will be fierce, as well as the kids who will contend the Garlic Iron Chef Contest, and we may even have a Garlic Cannon!" noted Eve Kaplan-Walbrecht.
"Our theme 'Eat Global...Cook Local' is important and relevant to all of us, especially out here on the East End of Long Island," noted Geoffrey Drummond.
"As members of this community invested in building a sustainable regional food system, they have much to offer those curious about eating and purchasing local food," said Heather Meehan.
"It's right on the lake so the view is beautiful," noted Ken Giustino.
