On Thursday, June 23rd, Emily Tisch Sussman hosted an outdoor soirée at her Watermill home to celebrate the launch of her newest endeavor, “She Pivots: The Podcast” powered by Marie Claire. She Pivots features conversations with a diverse group of women who have successfully reinvented their professional careers. The series celebrates and explores a variety of powerful women who have made bold decisions with a view toward inspiring others to pursue their own non-linear paths.
“For years we have defined success as getting to the top of the corporate ladder, or by dedicating years to a singular career. That narrative is shifting as women across industries are looking for a change. These driven, confident, and inspiring women utilized their own experiences and personal circumstances to pivot into a new career and in turn, garnered more success than before,” shared Tish Sussman. The podcast interviews women who have successfully changed their professional path and pivoted to a career that uplifts other women and follows their passions.”
Guests included an awe-inspiring group of women including Alison Morris, Danielle McNally, Zara Tisch, Patricia Reed, Neha Prakash, Carolina Izquierdo, Carolyn Angel, Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, Dria Murphy, Hayley Schmitz, Hillary Koota Krevlin, Katia Beauchamp, Lyndsay Caleo Karol, Jill Brand, and Tory Diamond to name a few.
The women enjoyed cocktails from Michter’s Distillery, LLC and an assortment of local wine from Hampton’s renowned Wölffer Estate Vineyard. The evening continued with a delicious family-style dinner prepared with fresh summer ingredients by Nicolas Reisini adorned with beautiful florals from Sag Harbor Florist.
Jewelry designer Kendra Pariseault gifted each guest earrings from her beautiful collection and provided complimentary ear piercings by Kat Maldonado of Hamptons, Ink. Everyone also received Thrilling x ShePivots “My Kids Killed My Career” tote bags that included jewelry from Joan Boyce, a bucket hat from McBride Sisters Wine, and a candle from Social Goods.
