Hamptons JazzFest presents Steven Bernstein & Sexmob @ 30 at the Parrish Art Museum — a 30th anniversary celebration of one of jazz’s most adventurous and enduring quartets.

Featured Artists:

Steven Bernstein – slide trumpet

Briggan Krauss – alto/baritone saxophone

Tony Scherr – bass

Kenny Wollesen – drums

Formed in 1996 out of a weekly residency at New York’s Knitting Factory, Sexmob has spent three decades exploding preconceived notions of what an instrumental jazz band can be. Their music blends jazz, improvisation, and influences drawn from across musical traditions, driven by raw groove, swing, and an uproarious sense of fun — all while maintaining high musical standards.

From their 1998 debut onward, the quartet has built one of the truly enduring artistic bonds in contemporary jazz — a chemistry that retains every bit of its freshness and capacity for surprise thirty years on.

Tucked behind a white-shingled cottage draped in ivy at The Maidstone Hotel, Stuart Weitzman quietly opened its first-ever Hamptons summer shopping installation, and it is exactly the kind of discovery that makes a summer out here feel special.

Hamptons Summer 2026 Starts at the Surf Lodge

There are a few places in the Hamptons where you can feel the entire summer happening at once. But, standing on the deck at the Surf Lodge, sunlight and bass bouncing across the waters of Fort Pond in Montauk, the solstice may need to be reconsidered.
