On Sunday, September 20th, be prepared to feast during the Hampton Bays Chamber of Commerce’s 17th annual Chili/Chowder Contest at the Boardy Barn. From 12 to 4 p.m., local chefs and restaurants will be competing for the honor of having the best chili and chowder recipe of all Hampton Bays and attendees will have the chance to taste the varieties and cast their vote, helping decide who is named chili/chowder master of the year.
“The prize is a year’s worth of glory and an engraved silver chili or chowder pot,” shared Lars Clemensen.
So far, participants will include 1 North Steakhouse, Cowfish, Shuckers, Bangston’s General, Bishop Brothers BBQ, and more. The family-fun fundraiser will also feature kids’ games, face painting, hot dogs, soda and beer, a Chinese Auction and 50/50 drawing.
Admission is $10 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
