Winter Restaurant Week To Feature Over 25 East End Options

The winter dining deal that Long Islanders await for each year is about to celebrate its fourth annual campaign.

Long Island Restaurant Week will offer eight exceptional days of spectacular meals from Sunday, January 26 to Sunday, February 2.

“Winter Restaurant Week is designed to help customers combat ‘cabin fever’ and bring excitement and revenue to our restaurant participants,” said Steve Haweeli, President of Long Island Restaurant & Marketing Hospitality Group – the business-to-consumer promotions division of WordHampton Public Relations.

As part of the tri-annual, award-winning promotion, diners will enjoy a three-course dinner prix fixe for an absolute steal – $29.95 all night. The promotion will be available every night that the featured restaurants are open during Restaurant Week, with the exception of Saturday, when the menu may only be offered until 7 p.m.

“Restaurant Week is an excellent way for new customers to try The 1770 House for the first time,” The 1770 House General Manager Carol Covell relayed. “It also gives a wonderful deal to those who’ve dined with us before. We expect a busy week for staff that keeps the momentum and a positive vibe from the holidays through high winter.”

In the Hamptons, Restaurant Week participants will include Centro Trattoria & Bar (Italian), Cowfish (New American), and Rumba Island Inspired Cuisine & Rum Bar (Caribbean) in Hampton Bays, Le Charlot (French), Shippys Pumpernickels Restaurant East (German), The Plaza Cafe (Seafood), and Tutto Il Giorno Southampton (Italian) in Southampton, Bobby Van’s Steakhouse (American), Elaia Estiatorio (Greek), and Topping Rose House (American) in Bridgehampton, Page at 63 Main (New American) and Tutto Il Giorno Sag Harbor (Italian) in Sag Harbor, and The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn (America) and The Maidstone Hotel & Restaurant (New American) in East Hampton.

“We are very excited about Restaurant Week at Topping Rose,” Mark Manjuck, Topping Rose House Food & Beverage Director, shared. “Our Chef Drew Hiatt has been working closely with Chef Jean-Georges to come up with the best Restaurant Week menu that fits the East End – using as much local ingredients as possible, such as The Roasted Local Monkfish Piccata Buttery Spinach, Crispy Potatoes! That is only one of the featured dishes. And, of course, our famous warm chocolate lava cake!”

On the North Fork, La Plage (Eclectic) in Wading River, Cooperage Inn (American) in Calverton, On The Docks (American) in Aquebogue, Bistro 72 (American) and Farm Country Kitchen (American) in Riverhead, Jamesport Manor Inn (American) in Jamesport, Legends (New American) in New Suffolk, aMano (Italian) in Mattituck, Touch of Venice Restaurant (Italian) in Cutchogue, and Andy’s (American) in Greenport are among featured eateries.

“Diners can experience the beauty of the North Fork in the winter season with our fireplaces glowing as they enjoy an amazing sampling of outstanding cuisine,” Matt Kar of Jamesport Manor Inn shared. “We offer spacious tables for relaxing dinning. Have dinner in the Rosalie Dimon Gallery featuring art from our local artists.”

Additional East End spots will include Trumpets On The Bay (Continental) in Eastport and Stone Creek Inn (French) in East Quogue.

There will be a minimum selection of three appetizers, three entrées and three desserts offered.

“With more than 2.8 million residents and 1,000 restaurants with varied cuisines, concepts and price points, Long Island Restaurant Week remains a win-win for Long Islanders and Long Island restaurants,” Haweeli added.

So, if several local eateries have piqued your interest, now’s the time to try them out.

  • Did You Know That Seagulls Love Spaghetti?

I have no idea who was the first person to think of bringing a bowl of spaghetti to the beach to share with a seagull but my money’s on Jackson Pollack who happened to love spaghetti after having it for the first time at 18.

  • Sensational Food at the 1770 House

All I can say is wow. JUST WOW!

The 1770 House is the real deal. It’s some of the best fine dining that the Hamptons has to offer. Executive Chef Michael Rozzi has put together a menu that is hard to beat and the restaurant is run by long-time manager, Carol Covell. I want to get to the food because that’s the real star of the show, but the people that work here are also. @1770house

The entire street has transformed for the better thanks to the developers of 8 luxury properties on a relatively unknown South of the Highway cul-de-sac in Amagansett.
