Thanks to the Sochi Olympics, all eyes are on Russia. While we didn’t make the trip like Olympians Noelle Pikus-Pace, Meryl Davis, and Lolo Jones, we did test out the Moscow-London based Rouge Bunny Rouge and are enamored with the whimsy collection.
The opulent makeup and fragrance line embraces the romance of Russia with sweet pinks and coppery reds. Inspired by the fantastical fairy tales of Victoriana and the regal majesty of Tsarism, the hues look like they should be worn by a princess. The vision of creative director Alexandra De Montfort was to develop products that enhance natural beauty and bring out a woman’s best features.
While we adore the entire line, our highlights include the Satin Eyeliner in Blue Roan (a midnight blue), Ubiquitous Magnitude Mascara for voluminous lashes, Lip Potion in Devilsih Nectar (a shimmery cooper), Loose Glitter Pigment in Eaten all the Cherries (an iridescent rose gold) and Long-lasting Eye Shadow in Eclipse Eagle (a dark brown-grey plum with platinum iridescence).
