“We’re thrilled to once again partner with The Surf Lodge for their Summer Concert Series,” expressed Maureen Rutkowski, Project Director of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation.
On Sunday, June 7th at 7 p.m., The Flaming Lips is headlining a benefit concert at The Surf Lodge, in support of the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation. “One-hundred percent of the proceeds from this show will benefit the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation and our efforts to complete the unfinished half of the historic Playhouse building with Aquatic and Cultural Centers,” said Rutkowski. “We’re grateful to the Surf Lodge for their continued support of the Montauk community.”
“The Flaming Lips are one of my favorite bands,” shared The Surf Lodge owner Jayma Cardoso. “We are really excited to have them perform at The Surf Lodge this Sunday.”
The experimental/psychedelic/rock band features Wayne Coyne, Steven Drozd, Michael Ivins, Derek Brown, Jake Ingalls, Matt Duckworth, and Nicholas Ley.
“It’s great to have an opportunity to support The Montauk Playhouse and the arts, it’s important for the community,” noted Cardoso.
A limited amount of tickets will be sold for the show and tickets are $100.
