RISE Life Services, previously known as Aid to the Developmentally Disabled (ADD), is once again celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by hosting its 5th annual Shamrock Shindig on Thursday, March 14.
“This year’s Shamrock Shindig is particularly important because we have rebranded and grown to become RISE Life Services,” Melissa Martin, Development Manager. “This now encompasses all those we serve and programs we offer.”
Returning to the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead, the spectacular soiree will feature the Tommy Mulvihill Band who will be playing Irish favorites, a pot-o-gold 50/50 raffle, delicious buffet, the chance to admire the amazing sea life that calls the Aquarium home – including penguins and sharks – and show stopping entertainment from Matthew Furman who will astonish and awe attendees with his electrifying magic and mind reading.
“We are also excited to create more of a St. Patrick’s Day vibe with the Tommy Mulvihill Band playing Irish favorites; as well as special guest magician, Matthew Furman,” Martin noted. “Matthew walks around amazing everyone with his magic and mind reading.”
RISE’s mission is to “provides a residential and supported living environment dedicated to empowering people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges to RISE to their full potential.”
The Shamrock Shindig will take place from 6:30 to 11:59 p.m. Tickets are $25 for children and $75 for adults.
“It’s going to be truly extraordinary for new guests and for those that attend each year,” Martin added.
