The new ultimate lunch spot has taken over at the old diner space right at the intersection in Southampton and it almost seems like everyone should have thought of this a long time ago. Everything about having the lobster roll open and Southampton makes perfect sense. The menu is the same menu as the menu that is at the iconic Montauk location. The restaurant is of course newer than the Montauk location but that doesn’t take away from the charm or the food. Standard staples such as the lobster roll with fries or New England clam chowder or their amazing mussels marinara are all on the menu and are all reasonably priced.
The addition of the lobster roll to Southampton is very much a welcome one. I almost forgot to mention that you can get gluten-free rolls for those of you that can’t handle Bread. In fact, an entire page of the menu is dedicated to being gluten-free which includes Paul’s famous seafood chili which is a spicy blend of shrimp, lobster, scallops, and beans topped with melted cheddar cheese sour cream and scallions served with tortilla chips. You can also get an impossible burger or a charbroiled turkey burger or a grilled veggie burger all on a gluten-free bun.
If you’re in the mood for some refreshments the bar menu is also pretty impressive with local Montauk beers, domestic beers and a variety of draft beers on tap to wet your whistle.
Everything is fresh, local, and reasonably priced it should definitely get added to your lunch rotation, you’re not going to want to miss out on eating at the lobster roll in Southampton.
