Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is looking for local actors to join them during their upcoming production of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men.” Auditions will take place at Bay Street on Monday, September 21st at 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Sag Harbor-based theater is looking to cast George (male, late 20s-30s), Lenny (male, late 20s-30s), Slim (male), Candy (male, 60-70), the boss (male, 40-50), Curley (male, 30s), Curley’s Wife (female, 20-30), Carlson (male, late 20-40), Whit (male, 20-30), and Crooks (black male, late 30-50).
The critically acclaimed novella has been adapted for both the screen and Broadway several times and its most recent Broadway run at The Longacre Theater in New York City starred James Franco, Chris O’Dowd, and Leighton Meester.
Joe Minutillo will direct the Bay Street production, which opens on Monday, November 9th. Contract dates are from Tuesday, October 13th through Saturday, November 28th.
