"This is the biggest fund raiser for the Friends of the Shelter Island Library," said Andrew Ward. "We give all the money we raise to special projects that might not be covered in their budget. This makes our community library a much more special place!"

"I am so proud to be a part of such a fine organization that helps make the holidays special for children who are less fortunate," said Assemblyman Thiele.

"As the only organization in New York that responds to sick or injured marine mammals and sea turtles, the coming cold months become a busy season for the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation (RFMRP)," remarked Allison DePerte.

"We are very pleased to have worked with the Town and the Land Trust on the sale of our enhanced development rights and the purchase of the Uncle Leo's Lane parcel," said Farmer Jim Pike.
